A majestic olive orchard blankets the first slope of the drive up the mountain from the gate of the Skipstone property to our estate vineyard above Alexander Valley. The seven acre hillside grove is home to 550 Manzanillo olive trees that range in age from four to 40 years old. Careful sustainable farming practices have been implemented since our first year of operation, and we are very proud that the orchard and our Melina’s Harvest Extra Virgin Olive Oil are certified Organic by the prestigious CCOF (California Certified Organic Farmers).

Every autumn, at the peak of the season, the olives are carefully handpicked and cold-pressed the same day, often within hours. The combination of artisan harvest and production methods produces distinctive olive oil, and has earned Skipstone the distinguished Extra Virgin certification by the California Olive Oil Council.

Continuing our tradition of giving to our local community, beginning in autumn 2018, Skipstone is donating 100% of the proceeds from the sale of our Olive Oil to the Geyserville Volunteer Fire Department.
